Who We Are

We design and deliver art, history and other specialised exhibitions and pop-up museums that are accessible, bilingual, and rooted in the local community. From research and curation to design, installation, and visitor engagement, we manage the entire process to create memorable cultural experiences for audiences of all ages. 

Place & Space produces historical and artistic films that bring stories, places and communities to life. Our work ranges from documentary storytelling and oral histories to creative film projects that complement exhibitions, Pop-Up Museums and cultural events. 

We use augmented reality, projection, and multimedia storytelling to make history interactive. Visitors can explore 3D reconstructions of local landmarks, interact with projected historical characters, or view content on tablets or via QR codes. All experiences are bilingual and accessible, ensuring everyone can engage with heritage. 

Our team gathers local memories and oral histories, integrating them into exhibitions and digital content. This ensures our projects reflect diverse perspectives, under-represented voices, and lived experiences, connecting visitors personally with the past. 

We work with, not for, communities. We collaborate with local organisations, schools, festivals, and historical societies. Through workshops, guided tours, talks, and treasure hunts, we ensure deep local participation and inclusive engagement. 

 All projects are grounded in thorough historical research and thoughtful storytelling. We create exhibits and digital content that highlight inclusive histories, ensuring accessibility through bilingual interpretation and thoughtful design. 

 We prioritise reuse and sustainability, repurposing display boards, AV equipment, and materials wherever possible. Every project leaves a lasting cultural, educational, and social legacy, with visitor feedback and outcomes carefully tracked to inform future projects.
